Iraq’s higher committee held an extensive meeting to review operational plans submitted by Oliver Wyman and BTP for the Development Road, as part of efforts to accelerate one of the country’s most strategic infrastructure and investment projects.

Discussions focused on technical and administrative aspects, including audits of rail and road designs and cost assessments, aiming to reach a comprehensive operational framework that ensures the success of the Development Road and maximizes its long-term economic returns.

Finalizing Operational Options

The Prime Minister instructed officials to select the most suitable plan and prepare a detailed summary for the next meeting, stressing the need to finalize all outstanding decisions without delay due to the project’s critical phase.

Advancing the Development Road remains a top national priority.
